Red Dirt Skinners — 7:00pm

Described by Roots Music Canada as “The Pink Floyd of Folk Music” the Red Dirt Skinners are the multi-award winning, multi-instrumentalist husband and wife team of Rob and Sarah Skinner.

The Skinners’ current album, Bear With Us, was listed in the highly regarded International Magazine, Music News, as one of their top 20 albums of 2021 – alongside Adele, Taylor Swift and Paul Weller to name but a few.

The duo cross more genres than would make sense to mention and have won National and International Awards in Rock, Folk, Blues, Country, Roots, Alt-Rock and Songwriting. It would be fair to say that if you like songs influenced by Pink Floyd, Simon and Garfunkel, Supertramp, Queen, and David Bowie coupled with some epic storytelling, humour and heartfelt emotions, you’ll love a Red Dirt Skinners concert.

With male and female harmonies blending as one voice and Sarah’s trademark soprano saxophone solos, you will be swept along by the refreshingly different sound of the Red Dirt Skinners.

The Skinners have a natural rapport with their audiences and their live shows are a wonderful experience; a musical journey to remember. Rob and Sarah Skinner will steal your hearts. Don’t miss their show!

TÁR

Buy Tickets: Online or debit/credit at the door
General Admission:
$12.00 (+ applicable fees)

Having achieved an enviable career few could even dream of, renowned conductor/composer Lydia Tár, the first female principal music director of the Berlin Philharmonic, is at the top of her game. As a conductor, Lydia not only orchestrates, she manipulates. As a trailblazer, the passionate virtuoso leads the way in the male-dominated classical music industry. Moreover, Lydia prepares for the release of her memoir while juggling work and family. She is also willing to take up one of her most significant challenges: a live recording of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 5. However, forces that even the imperious maestro can't control slowly chip away at Lydia's elaborate facade, revealing the genius's dirty secrets and the insidious, corrosive nature of power. What if life knocks Lydia off her pedestal? Masks are recommended.
