FREE: Documentary Film Screening and Social

The Ecology Action Centre and JustUs! Coffee Roasters are offering a free event at JustUs! Café (450 Main St, Wolfville) on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, from 6-9 p.m. 

The evening will include a film screening of Burned at the Al Whittle Theatre, followed by a chance to enjoy our signature cocktail, Keep Your Gin Up (a classic twist on a gin fizz), and to mingle with other attendees including some of our staff members. The screening will start promptly at 6:15 p.m. in the Al Whittle Theatre, which is attached to the Café.  

A bit about Burned: Burned is an award-winning, feature-length documentary that tells the little-known story of the accelerating destruction of our forests for fuel, and probes the policy loopholes, huge subsidies and blatant greenwashing of the burgeoning biomass electric power industry in the United States and Europe. The run time is 75 minutes.
