The Sapphires

Sisters On Screen is a film festival presented by the students of MUSI 4283 - a class about women in music. Over three nights, watch three popular films about female musicians and learn how to view their subject matter with fresh insight.

All films will begin with a pre-screening talk delivered by the students of the course. All showings begin at 7:00pm

Saturday, November 18 - THE SAPPHIRES (at Acadia Cinema's Al Whittle Theatre) - rated PG-13

Wednesday, November 22 - LADY SINGS THE BLUES (at the KC Irving Centre Auditorium) - rated "R"

Friday, November 24 - A STAR IS BORN (at the KC Irving Centre Auditorium) - rated "R"

Admission to all three films is by freewill donation. Funds raised will be donated to a music camp scholarship to support a young girl's music education.
